Example Horror Poster
This poster for Skeleton Key represents a conventional horror poster, the film is well known and the poster is very intriguing. I chose to post this poster as it demonstrates conventional horror in that there is a close up of an eye, shadows are used in the close up of the skin and the trees in the image that appear to be surrounding the man in the wheel chair. The house in the background is clearly large and isolated, further more the man in the wheel chair shows disability which would connote being trapped. Also the different use of fonts is key, the tittle has the effect of looking through a door, while the star credits of Kate Hudson is smaller and largely spaced to show her importance.
