Group Idea

The protagonist Chrissy is a young innocent looking girl, an outgoing yet serious student in her usual life. Though over the summer to earn some extra money she goes into child minding for a mature, respectable working family with two young boys. Matthew (age 8) and Dylan (age 5) who’ve always been well behaved and caring children. The film begins when Chrissy meets the two children and we establish their immediate attachment to the new child minder due to her caring nature and young friendly attitude.
            On one day she decides to take them to a local field and play park where they can enjoy themselves and she can relax as it’s an open area. Chrissy gets lost in her studies whilst the boys play. When she later looks up from the book one of the boys have gone missing. She runs to Dylan and asks where his brothers disappeared to. Dylan points into a gaping hole in the wall surrounding the park, Chrissy immediately runs over shouting Mattie’s name and as she gets there he appears in the gap. Chrissy gets down in front of him and interrogates him as to why he ran off, to which he claims something called him inside.She warns him not to run off again and he runs off to play with his brother again but she’s still left with a feeling of unease as she looks at the hole in the wall.

 
            Later when it comes time to leave Chrissy tried to round up the boys, Matthew is again no where to be seen. When Chrissy gets up to find him she sees a small shadow in the hole in the wall with it’s back to her and something in its hand. Chrissy shouts at him for again misbehaving and starts to walk over. Matthew glances over his shoulder and smiles back at her in a gormless way that doesn’t quite reach the eyes or seem right. She sees a mangled old doll hanging from his hand and asks him where he got it and demands he puts it down as it’s dirty and old. He claims again it called to him and Chrissy starts to get angry. She turns to Dylan and tells him to get his things as they’re leaving. When she turns again Matthews shadow is disappearing further into the woods. She picks up Dylan quickly and chases after him but as she enters the hole she realizes there is a wood behind that just goes on into darkness. She chases after him calling his name and we see her searching and the sun slowly setting as she realizes she’s lost in the middle of some dense woods and  missing a child.
From here on Chrissy searches the woods looking for Matthew, she attempts to use her phone but has no service and low battery. The chain of event includes Chrissy searching for Matthew, while he watches her from within the woods as he’s possessed by the doll. Chrissy comes across many obstacles such as mangled bodies that try to get her, tortured souls of the doll left in the woods. Chrissy panics from here out a. Matthew gets ahold of Dylan  as he’s his younger brother and now the two of them terrorize the Child Minder in the woods.
